I have over 25 years experience in teaching Art and Design and also working in my own right as an Artist. I work well with hard to reach youngsters and I am also able to convey practical art and design to all ages. I work with a number of different age groups in various settings.
I found myself project managing a big commission for murals for Northallerton Prison and in the  public sector, Broadacres Housing Association, various schools, Children’s centres, and a local nursery mural achieving an Award in 2015. I have also provided workshops for the WI, Art groups, schools, youth clubs, Guides and Brownies, private tuition, Art shows, Libraries and Festivals. In 2015 with the support of the Library and North Yorkshire Youth I set up a group called Scribble Zones attaining a community start up grant. We are now Scribble Zone, Scribble Vision and Scribble Set. Eachstrand offers something creative for people in the community.
I volunteer at Northallerton ParkRun quite regularly, and I was a Governor at Alverton Primary School for 4years. I love the countryside and music which is emulated in my work. My background in General Art and Design is quite apparent. I explore texture, colour and lots of different techniques with different materials, some I make myself from foraging trips.I am so proud of my achievements within the community I continue to strive for opening up art for all with my work as an Artist
